Active Heel Airbag (AHAB) for enhanced occupant protection
A missing stable coupling of the heels leads to uncontrolled leg movements and thus to injuries of the lower extremities due to the increased distance between feet and missing heel contact geometry. The Active Heel Airbag (AHAB) provides a stable heel contact. The improved control of the lower leg kinematics reduces the risk of Tibia and Acetabulum injuries, improves the restraint of the pelvis and prevents twisting the ancle joint.
- Flat package design: Integration of unfolded Airbag into the crash pad underneath the carpet (package neutral)
- Inflator Performance: proven inflator technology with Specific Gentle Onset Curve to reduce load values
- Driver and passenger side possible
- Easy adjustable 3D bag design
